There are, by my count, at least seven levels of fried chicken. The worst of them is good; the best, which I waited forty-four years to find, led to what can only be called an out-of-body experience. Let’s start at …
Celebrity Restaurants in Hollywood
Celebrities don’t just act and sing. They own restaurants, particularly ones in Hollywood. Local trend-setters and celebrities tend to frequent these establishments, but they are of particular interest to tourists. For those who aren’t fortunate enough to meet their favorite celebrity but can afford the price tag for an upscale meal, they can return home from their vacation with the knowledge that they have eaten at the celebrity’s restaurant. Does this Spark an idea?

Geisha House
-
The Geisha House is owned and operated by The Dolce Group, whose major investors include Ashton Kutcher, Jamie Kennedy and Wilmer Valderrama. The Geisha House serves upscale sushi in a setting designed to give the feel of a modern Japanese brothel.
The cuisine uses traditional Japanese flavors and gives them a unique spin in dishes such as Maine lobster hand roll with spicy sauce, lettuce and cucumber, the grilled Mongolian lamb chop with a creamy sesame sauce and cucumber salad, and the miso-glazed rock shrimp tempura.

The Porch
-
It is only fitting that the restaurant featured on the second floor of the House of Blues is owned by actors Dan Akroyd and Jim Belushi. True to their personality, the restaurant’s decor is an eclectic mix of Bayou meets Disneyland. Despite the design, the restaurant is comfortable and casual with a vibrant and lively atmosphere.
Enjoy the Sunday Gospel brunch while being serenaded by the blues or enjoy dinner from the Cajun-inspired a la carte menu that offers sandwiches, burgers, salads and sides as well as poultry, pork, seafood and beef entrees.

Beso
-
"Desperate Housewife" Eva Longoria teamed up with East Coast culinary dynamo Todd English to bring modern Latin cuisine to Hollywood. The modern space blends masculine wood tones with feminine touches, like sparkly chandeliers and plenty of candlelight to create a warm and hip feel.
Customers watch the chefs prepare their meals in the open kitchen while sipping on pre-dinner martinis. Neither the ambiance nor the decor can steal the thunder from the delicacies being served, such as a petit filet with cumin-roasted cauliflower, harissa potatoes, chimichurri with a cherry-barbecue sauce or the grilled duroc pork tenderloin with braised white beans, grilled raddichio and a sweet chili-mint gastrique.

Dominick's
-
Rose McGowan, Ben Harper and Laura Dern have created an atmosphere at Dominick’s that feels more New York than Hollywood. Pictures of celebrities dot the walls and trinkets adorn the soffit that runs along the perimeter of the dining room.
The Italian-inspired menu offers everything from spaghetti and meatballs to turkey Milanese with burratta cheese, slow-roasted tomatoes and wilted arugula. Sunday supper is a tradition.

Ago Restaurant is the brainchild of famed Chef Agostino Sciandri and it is backed by Hollywood powerhouses Robert DeNiro, Bob and Harvey Weinstein, and directors Tony and Ridley Scott. The decor mixes modern with rustic, giving it a chic yet casual feel.
The main dining room features light woods with comfortable chairs and a modern bar. The Rotunda Room has a greenhouse-like feel, with plenty of plants and three glass walls. It also features an open kitchen with a wood-burning oven and the restaurant’s extensive wine collection.
