You can purchase plastic figures that light up or you can buy wood stands to require a light to be shinned on them. Take a portable CD player and play Christmas hymns during the night hours for people as they drive or walk by. You can also display the Christmas story on a sign and have pamphlets available for people to read more about the birth of Jesus. Attach a illuminated star above the manger or on top of your house to signify the Star of David that lead the wise men to Jesus.
Lights
-
Use lights to illuminate your house. You can purchase different types of lights that can be used along the perimeter of your lawn, around the outline of your house or on your shrubs in your front yard. If you want to create a clean and magical feel, use white lights and have them stationary or have them slowly flicker. If you want to create a more festive and vibrant appearance, use random colored lights and have them blink quickly. Wrap your shrubs and mailbox with small lights to illuminate the different areas of your yard.
