Hairstyles for a Beach Wedding
A beach wedding typically is a casual and relaxed event. While the wedding ceremony may retain a solemn and formal tone, the bride, groom and wedding party usually dress more casually to accommodate the beach setting. Brides can choose from several wedding hairstyles to suit an outdoor wedding. These hairstyles reflect a beach wedding's casual nature while emphasizing a bride’s natural beauty. Does this Spark an idea?

Wavy
-
For a casual and relaxed beach wedding hairstyle, leave your hair down so it falls naturally on your back and shoulders. Add loose curls or waves throughout to give your hairstyle body and depth. This wedding hairstyle can work for brides with short, medium or long hair. Use a curling iron or hot rollers to create wavy locks; a touch of hairspray will secure the curls. Give your hairstyle a touch of flair--pin a flower that matches your bouquet behind your ear or use a hairpin in the shape of a seashell, starfish or flower to accent the soft curls. The only disadvantage to this hairstyle is that it easily can be displaced by the wind.
Half-Up
-
To avoid having your hair blown into your face during your beach wedding, opt for a half-up hairstyle. This style is extremely versatile--it allows for a casual and relaxed look, yet the hair is pulled away from the face. Gather the top half of your hair and secure it behind your head. Pull a few strands loose to frame your face and add soft curls or waves throughout your hair for a beach-friendly style. As with the wavy hairstyle, brides can use decorative hairpins or flowers with this style. Side-swept bangs work well with this style, although the wind may displace the bangs.

Updo
-
For brides with hair that is extremely sensitive to humidity, an updo may be the most appropriate beach wedding hairstyle. The advantage of an updo is that all your hair is pulled away from your face. This style will be less affected by wind and humidity. An updo works well for nearly any type of wedding. However, for a beach wedding, the bride should have a casual and soft updo. Ideas include a chignon, which features a loose bun at the base of the neck, or a French twist, which features a classic twist along the back of the head. For a more dramatic updo, pin elaborate curls and twists of hair around your head.
