Valentine's Games to Print & Play

Valentine's games are fun for people of any age. You can play them at a party for adults, helping people to mingle and get to know each other. Or, play them at a Valentine's party for kids, either at school or at home. These games are silly and fun, creating a lighthearted party atmosphere.

  1. Cryptograms

    • Give students or party guests a coded Valentine's message using the printouts on the Valentine's Day Fun website. Or, print out the scrambled word puzzle on Family Corner. As with any Valentine's games, you could give the winner a small prize, like a small stuffed animal from a dollar store.

    Bingo

    • Print out a Valentine's bingo game, like the one on the DLTK website. You can customize the cards to your specifications, and for younger kids, you can choose a card that reinforces certain skills, such as colors or uppercase letters. You can print out a version that uses pictures or text, and play in one of two ways: call out words and have the players check off their bingo square if they have a match, or play it more informally by letting them check off a word when they spot that item in the room, similar to road trip bingo.

    Word Games

    • Word games can be a fun kick-off to a Valentine's party, helping people to get into the spirit of the day. The DLTK website offers printable puzzles, such as Valentine's anagrams, crossword puzzles and word finds.

    Riddles

    • Valentine's riddles are another fun way to start off a party. DLTK also provides riddles, such as "What did the elephant say to his girlfriend on Valentine's day?" and "What did the stamp say to the envelope on Valentine's day?" They're silly, and great for younger kids.

    Mad Libs

    • Print out mad libs to play with guests of any age. The Mad Glibs website provides several printable games with a Valentine's theme. Just select the printer-friendly option, and they'll be ready to print.

    Memory

    • Small groups will have fun playing a Valentine's memory game. Like other memory games, you play by arranging the cards face down on a table. A player tries to match two of the same card by remembering where they are. You can find a printable Valentine's memory game at DLTK. You'll just need to cut out the cards after printing.

    Valentine's Addition

    • A printable activity on the Teacher Vision website helps kids practice their basic addition. Afterward, they can color in the hearts. This activity will help kids to keep learning during a holiday party.

    Tips

    • Mix up these types of games with other activities, like decorating a Valentine's box or writing a collaborative story. Everyone will have more fun with a lively mix of activities.
