Presbyterian Church Scholarships

Get access to thousands of dollars worth of college scholarships if you're a member of the Presbyterian Church of the United States of America, a 2.3 million members-strong Christian denomination. All scholarships are administered through the church and, unless noted, can be used for tuition at all accredited schools in the United States. For scholarship deadlines and applications, contact the church's headquarters at (800) 872-3283 or ask a local Presbyterian clergy member.

  1. Beall Scholarship

    • This scholarship, up to $5,000, is available for female college students ages 16 through 36 who are residents of the southern states of Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, or North or South Carolina. You must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and be a full-time student in any university's arts program.

    Children of Missionaries Scholarship

    • If you're a legal dependent of a Presbyterian missionary serving abroad with World Mission, you are eligible to apply for the $1,500 Children of Missionaries Scholarship. You must have a minimum of a 2.5. GPA and be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at any United States university.

    National Presbyterian College Scholarship

    • Apply for the National Presbyterian College Scholarship if you're entering college for the first time. The scholarship is worth up to $1,400 and is ongoing every year as long as you maintain a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. You must attend a school that's affiliated with the Presbyterian Church.

    Native American Education Grant

    • As its name suggests, the Native American Education Grant is aimed at full-time Presbyterian students who are members of an Alaskan or Native American tribe. This grant is worth up to $1,500, and you must have a 2.5 GPA or higher. Though preference is given to Presbyterians, Native American students hailing from all faith backgrounds can apply for this grant.

    Student Opportunity Scholarship

    • Apply for the Student Opportunity Scholarship, up to $3,000, if you've finished your second year in college and have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA in social science, sacred music, education, religious studies or health services. You do not need to attend a Presbyterian school. Though all applicants are welcomed, this scholarship gives preference to ethnic minorities.

    Samuel Robinson Award

    • The Samuel Robinson Award is open to all college juniors or seniors at any school affiliated with the Presbyterian Church. The grant's monetary value varies widely, and applicants must complete an extensive essay on a Presbyterian church-related religious topic chosen by the grant's administrators.
