One Player Pool Games
Though pool requires strategic thinking and concentration, it doesn't always require at least two players to play. Many pool games enable a single player to test his billiards skills, either on an actual pool table or online. Some of these one-player pool games are just as challenging, even without other players.

Regular Pool
-
You can play pool on a regular pool table by yourself, just as you would with other players. In a single-player game, the object is to sink all the balls, ending with the black eight ball, just as in a traditional pool game. Playing against the clock adds another challenge to a single-player round of traditional billiards.
Deluxe Pool
-
"Deluxe Pool" is a free online one-player pool game. The object of the game is to sink all the balls in numerical order. The user-friendly game keeps track of the time while you play. Players receive points for sinking balls in order. However, players are penalized for sinking balls out of order.

Pool Jam
-
In "Pool Jam" a single player must sink as many balls as he can in any order within a three-minute time limit. The online game awards 100 points for each ball sunk. However, a player that scratches, loses 300 points from his total score. This challenging free game only requires registration to post scores.
One Pocket
-
One pocket pool is a one-player game that sounds simple. This game, played on a traditional pool table, involves choosing one pocket in which to sink balls. This can be challenging for amateur pool players. However, if playing to one pocket becomes too difficult, a player can choose two pockets in which to sink balls. Sinking balls in numerical order adds to the challenging nature of this single-player game.
