If you have full or wispy bangs, you can easily sweep them to the side to give your style a little different look without loosing the bangs completely. Side-swept bangs can be accomplished easily by using a hairdryer and a round brush to encourage the bangs to go to one side of your forehead. The bangs also can be prepared a few days ahead of time by “training” them to go to the side of your face; simply pin them to the side after you wash your hair, at night, and when you are walking around the house.

If you are comfortable pulling your bangs back from your face, they can be teased from the base and pinned straight back to create a mini-bouffant. The rest of the hair can be worn in loose curls, or worn straight for a sleeker look. If you don’t like the way you look with your hair pulled straight back from your face, but don’t mind having your bangs pulled away from your forehead, you can also pin them to the side. Create a drastic side part, and pull the bangs across your forehead. Pin them above your ear and wear your hair in an updo or half updo for a vintage 1950s vibe. The bangs can also be pinned back and under the hair to the side, so the rest of the hair falls forward toward the front of your face. This is a good method if you are wearing your hair down or in a messy updo.
