Tousled Wedding Hairstyles
The tousled look has become a popular wedding style. It gives the bride a natural, romantic look, which may complement her personality and the style of her wedding better than a traditional, formal updo. Tousled looks can be worn in curls or waves, up or down, flat or volumized. When choosing a tousled hairstyle for your wedding, look to celebrities who have made that style popular, such as Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus, and Black Lively. Does this Spark an idea?

Tousled Waves
-
A beautiful wedding hairstyle is simple tousled waves cascading down the bride’s back. For this look, the bride’s hair is curled into loose waves, almost as if she’d spent the day at the beach. The look is polished with a light pomade so that the waves remain natural looking, as opposed to overly glossed or crunchy. Tousled waves remain simple, so only a simple headband or small comb is used to decorate the hair, if she chooses to wear anything at all. This look is especially pretty for an outdoor or beach wedding.
Tousled Half-Updo
-
The tousled half-updo is also a very popular look. The hair is curled into soft waves, and then teased softly at the crown to give the hair a little bit of volume. The sides are then pulled back and pinned at the back of the hair, or the top is combed straight back for a more sleek look. If the bride has bangs, they can hang loosely in her face in soft waves, or be pinned to the side. A sparkly barrette or flower can be pinned in the back of her hair, and if she chooses to wear a veil, the veil can be pinned in the hair at the top of her head, or in the back where the hair is pinned in place.

Tousled Bun
-
Though you may think of a bun as a more formal, polished hairstyle, it can also be made into a tousled style as well. The idea of a tousled bun is to be a little messy; every hair shouldn’t be tucked and pinned in place. The hair is curled into loose curls or waves. The hair is pulled back into a bun at the nape of the bride’s neck, with a few curls falling out. This look works well with long layers at the top of the hair, because the loose pieces at the top of the hair can be teased slightly and sprayed to create texture in the top of the hair.
