Thanksgiving Trivia Game
-
This is a great game that you can play around the table or in teams. On a small piece of paper, have everyone who participates in the game write down a question about Thanksgiving and four possible answers--three incorrect and one correct. Put all of the questions into a hat or a shoe box, and take turns picking them out and answering them. Make sure that someone is keeping track of points.
Who Am I?
-
Who Am I? is best played with smaller groups of no more than eight. On index cards, write down the name of famous historical figures who are associated with Thanksgiving. Such names can be Minister Elder Brewster, John Alden or Captain Miles Standish. Distribute a card to each person. The participants have to hold a card to their forehead, without looking at the name on it. Then, they must ask the people around them who can see their names, and those people must deliver a series of yes or no questions to figure out who they are.

Myth versus Reality
-
This game, like the others, requires some research in regards to common Thanksgiving myths. Write down at least 10 common myths about Thanksgiving on small sheets of paper. For example, one common myth is that the Pilgrims ate turkey. Then, write down 10 somewhat obscure facts about Thanksgiving on small sheets of paper. For example, the famous Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade began in the 1920s. Mix all of your pieces of paper together in a hat or a shoe box. Let everyone take a turn drawing a piece and reading it out loud. Ask the people listening to yell out whether they think what has been read is a myth or reality.
