If you're a sports fan, you can turn your home bar into your own sports bar. Since you're building it in your own home, you can create a shrine to your favorite sports team. You could paint the walls of the room your bar will be located in the colors of your favorite team, include memorabilia from your team on the walls, or paint your team logo directly onto the bar. A sports bar should also have a large-screen television, video and tabletop games, and a popcorn maker.

If you're looking for a more exotic theme, make your home bar into your own jungle room. Paint the walls dark earth-tone colors to help create the right mood. Use bamboo accents on the corners and edges of your bar—you could even build a roof over your bar using palm leaves (use plastic palm leaves, since they won't die).
