Fun Girlfriend Party Games

Whether it's a slumber party or a small get-together with your girlfriends, break the ice with fun and sociable party games. There are always new games to play. Explore some fun girlfriend party games to use or make your own variations.

Purse Scavenger Hunt

  • Play a scavenger hunt game with items in your purses. List 25 to 30 items that a girl might have in her purse. List things like lipstick, cell phone, quarter, credit card, umbrella and book. Everyone plays by herself against the others, or separate guests into teams. For a team game, 3 or 4 teams are ideal. Have each person (or team) mark off the things on the list as they find them in their purses. The person, or team, with the most items checked off is the winner.

Talk About It

  • Play a party game that will get everyone in the room talking. Before the party, write several words onto index cards. Write one word on each card, and fold them in half. Put them in a bowl on the coffee table before your guests arrive. When everyone has gathered in the room, ask each person to draw a card from the bowl. They then take turns discussing their word. The words do not have to be anything specific, as each person is bound to have something to say about any word they would choose. For example, if the word is "red," you could talk about your favorite item of clothing that is red, or whether you like the color.

Two Truths and a Lie

  • Play a "getting to know you" game with your guests. Have each girlfriend write three facts about herself on an index card. Two facts should be true; the other must be a lie. Each guest takes a turn standing in front of the group and reciting her facts. Everyone else writes down which fact they think is a lie. After everyone has recited their facts, each tells the group which of their facts was a lie. The player with the most correct guesses is the winner.
