One of the most important aspects of good grooming for women is proper hygienic practices. Simple activities like daily showers, regular manicures and pedicures, and daily facial cleansing are essential for a good presentation, particularly in the workplace. Personal grooming tools are also necessary, and most of these are quite simple and inexpensive.

Hair Care

Essential hair grooming tools include a good brush that is fit for your hair type, a comb for removing any tangles, and hair accessories such as bobby pins, hair ties and headbands. Depending on your hair type, you may also want to purchase a hair blow dryer, curling iron and straightener. Essential products include shampoo and conditioner, hairspray and a hair gel that are all suited to your hair type and style.

Body Care

A sharp razor and shaving cream are simple but necessary grooming tools for women. Deodorant, moisturizer and shower gel are also essential tools you will need for body grooming and hygiene. A sponge or loofah is very nice for the shower. Keep moisturizers or body oils close to the shower so you can apply them as soon as you get out, in order to maximize absorption.

Face Care

Experiment with skin products until you find the right one for you. A facial scrub, cleanser and moisturizer are ideal, but just a good cleanser will do if your skin is easy to maintain. If you wear makeup, make sure you have a good makeup remover for bedtime.

Hands and Feet

Regular manicures and pedicures are the keys to well-groomed hands and feet. Necessary tools include a nail file, nail clippers, cuticle cream and cuticle pusher, and a pumice stone for the feet.
