    • This soup and salad bar chain is known as Souplantation in some areas or Sweet Tomatoes in others. Souplantation offers a variety of fresh vegetables, a full bar of healthy soups and other various items like macaroni and cheese, gourmet breads and spaghetti. The salad bar has more than 50 fresh items with unique offerings like cold pasta dishes, macaroni salad, cheese and dressings.     • This new franchise is beginning to make an impact on the soup and salad bar chain restaurant industry. It offers several menu items, but the franchise is more known for its salad bar and soup. Jason's Deli has more than 200 restaurants in various areas of the country, including California. The restaurant offers a wide selection of organic choices (about 20 percent of the food offered here is organic) and other healthy yet delicious options on its soup and salad bar. There are also "ultrahealthy" menu items if you are watching your sodium intake. In addition, you can control your portions by ordering smaller versions of normal menu items.

The restaurant chain celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2008 and it has recently updated its menu and salad bar offerings to reflect the healthier choices that their customers are making.
