Founded in 1924, the St. Charles Country Club sits on 270 acres in the Fox River Valley in Chicago's western suburbs. The club is elegant yet family-friendly with a full-service golf facility and world-class golf course, driving range, putting green and pitching area, junior golf programs and caddie program. The St. Charles prides itself on its personal service and amenities for adults and children, including a tennis center and swimming pool area, as well as a 34,000-square-foot clubhouse with a formal dining room that hosts an array of events. Entry into the St. Charles is by invitation only. The golf membership is the traditional club membership, but St. Charles offers a social membership option that allows the member access to all club facilities except the golf area.

The Beverly Country Club

The Beverly, which opened in 1908, focuses primarily on its superior golf facilities. Its championship 18-hole golf course has hosted numerous professional championships, including four Western Open championships and one National Amateur championship. The golf course was revamped in 2002, and Golfweek includes the Beverly on its list of Top 100 Classic Golf Courses in the United States as of 2010. Membership information is kept private, but interested parties can make membership inquiries by contacting the club by phone or email.

St. Andrews is a public club that caters to golf enthusiasts young and old. According to its website, the club is one of Chicago's oldest family-run businesses, having opened in West Chicago in 1926. It features two championship golf courses, a restaurant and four banquet halls that are rented out for meetings and social events. Patrons can create permanent tee times (for groups of at least four), participate in golf leagues and arrange golf outings. As of July 2010, the club's website states that the price to play a round of golf at St. Andrews depends on the season, as well as the desired tee time.
