Women will appreciate feminine hygiene products as well. Be sure to check your soldier's guidelines on personal care items; some camps do not allow scented products. Other items that will make life easier for your soldier include bandannas for sandstorms, Kleenex, toilet paper, socks, underwear, boot insoles and pain reliever medication.

Although our men and women overseas work long days, they get a good amount of down time, which means they need fun things to do. Good gifts include crossword puzzles and word searches, DVDs (even the cheap ones from the dollar store), magazines and thin books. Comic books are also popular, and can be found on the Internet or at specialty comic book stores. Remember that most of the things sent to them will not fit in their bags to come back, so bulky gifts may get in the way.
