  1. Atlantic Bicycle Club

    • Founded in 1978, the Atlantic Bicycle Club mainly serves Monmouth and Ocean counties, but invites members from all over the state of New Jersey. The club originally promoted recreational cycling, but as more bike enthusiasts have joined, the club has established competitive cycling and touring groups as well.

    The Bicycle Hub

    • The Bicycle Hub in Marlboro is a bike shop that also hosts a mountain biking, racing and recreational cycling advocacy group. Wally Tunison, the owner of the Bicycle Hub, also established the New Jersey Cycling Conservation Club, which works to preserve mountain bike trails in New Jersey parks and forests.

    The Bicycle Touring Club of North Jersey

    • The Bicycle Touring Club of North Jersey is a volunteer-run nonprofit bicycle club dedicated to promoting recreational, sport and transportation-based cycling in the northern New Jersey region. The Bicycle Touring Club is the largest bike club in the state, with about 1,300 members in 1,000 households.

    Bedminster Flyers Cycling Club

    • The Bedminster Flyers Cycling Club is a recreational cycling group for the Somerset Hills area of New Jersey. The club meets every Wednesday from May through September and members go on rides through the back roads of Somerset Hills. This club has a strict helmet requirement for all members.

    The Central Jersey Bicycle Club

    • The Central Jersey Bicycle Club was originally called the Metuchen Bicycle Touring Society, and was founded in 1968. In 1979 the club changed its name to the Central Jersey Bicycle Club. The group hosts everything from 10-mile leisurely rides to cross country rides of more than 60 miles. The club is chaired and staffed completely by volunteers.

    Doubles of the Garden State

    • Doubles of the Garden State (DOGS) is a tandem bicycle (two-person bike) club. The club hosts leisurely two-person rides around the state of New Jersey, with breaks for eating and conversation. Any members of the club can host a ride in New Jersey, but members from neighboring states are also welcome to join.
