Gifts for Dads of Twins
-
-
Gifts for parents of twins aren't much different from gifts for any other parent: Babies are babies, and they all have the same basic needs. However, by necessity, a dad of twins may have to be a little more involved with baby care than his peers with single babies. Some things can make life a little easier for dads of twins, and help him enjoy his two new little ones even more.
Wearable Baby Carrier
-
A sling or pouch will allow Dad to keep one baby close while he plays with the other little one. Look for one that's easily adjustable or sized to fit a taller person. A sling can accommodate newborns, babies and toddlers, and is easy to adjust to fit people of different sizes.
Baby Backpack
-
Rugged dads might feel a little more manly with one of the tykes riding on his back, and baby will appreciate the view. With the other baby in a tough, off-road stroller, Dad can take the twins on hikes or long walks through the neighborhood. Look for a backpack with a lightweight frame, that's easy to get baby in and out of.
Double Stroller
-
Baby gear isn't all pink bows and bunnies anymore. Let Mom have the fancy stroller, and give Dad his own: Lots of double strollers are on the market now in more masculine colors and styles. A lightweight stroller is easy to fold and get in and out of the car for those quick errands around town; athletic dads can take the twins along with a jogger or off-road stroller.
Double Photo Frame
-
Dad will no doubt want to show off his beautiful twins; a double photo frame will allow him to display a picture of each baby in style.
Digital Photo Frame
-
Double the babies means double the photos. Help him keep them organized and on display with a digital frame. Simply upload the images from your camera's memory card (instructions are included) and you can flip through the images to show them off. Digital frames are available in sizes from keychain size up to 15", and are priced accordingly: from about $10 to more than $200.
Gift Cards
-
Give Dad a gift card to a baby superstore so he can choose a few things for the little ones. For a dad of older twins, give a gift card for something he can enjoy with his kids: a game of bowling, golf lessons, or a day at the museum, for example.
Date Night
-
Parents need time to themselves; give Dad a gift card for a restaurant or coffee shop, concert tickets, or a basket packed with all the makings for a picnic. Include a homemade certificate for babysitting, and send Dad and Mom out for some much-deserved time alone.
