Christian Adult Valentine Games

Plan activities that will be fun for singles and couples alike.

Valentine's Day is about more than just candy and cards. The day can be celebrated with a party where adults can enjoy each others' company--whether they have a specific valentine or not. A Valentine's Day party for Christian couples or friends can incorporate the best of the holiday's innocent intent without the discomfort of racier elements. Focus on building friendships and communication with the games you play during the party.

    1. Who Am I Games

      • Use "Who Am I" as an ice breaker for your Valentine party. Upon arrival at the party, each person has an index card with the name of a famous romantic person attached to the back of her clothing. Each party-goer must guess who the name is by asking questions of the other party guests that can be answered "yes" or "no." Romantic figures can be Cleopatra, Mr. Darcy, George Clooney, Cupid and so on. The game can easily be modified to accommodate the age group of the party.

      Adapted Kids Games

      • "Pin the Tail on the Donkey" can become "Pin the Heart in the Bull's Eye." Charades can have only romantic movie themes such as "Sleepless in Seattle," "The Notebook" or "An Officer and a Gentleman." A scavenger hunt can include finding innocently romantic items such as conversation hearts, chocolate or flowers.

      Friendship Game

      • Have the group break into couples, either romantically linked or friends. Then have the host hand out sets of questionnaires for each couple to fill out. One set of answers is how they would answer the question, and the other would be how they think their teammate would answer the question. Have the couples announce their answers in a "Newlywed Game" style game, to see whether their answers match.
