    According to an article by Amy Bell on Yahoo! Finance, jobs lost since the beginning of the Great Depression in 2007 now total more than 7 million. The manufacturing, professional and business services, finance and construction industries have all seen significant job losses since the economic downturn. Bell reports that some 661,000 Americans have stopped job hunting altogether.
