How to Make a Three-Way Call with Skype

Create groups in Skype for Windows Desktop or Skype for Modern Windows to host a three-way voice or audio call. You cannot host a Skype group call if you are using a mobile device, TV or Linux system, but you can participate in audio group calls. Once you've created your group, use the video or audio Call buttons to start the call.

Create a new group for the call.

Select "Create New Group..." from the Contacts drop-down menu in Skype.

Add contacts to your group.

Click the "Add" button to access a list of your contacts. Check contacts for this group and click "Add to Group" when you have finished. Alternatively, you can drag and drop contacts over to the group. You may name the group by clicking "Empty group" and typing a name. Although you can add up to nine contacts to a group, Skype recommends groups of five or less for the best quality.

Call the group members.

Begin a call with your group by clicking either the voice or video call buttons.

Enjoy your group call.

Talk with the people in your group who have answered the call. As the host, you can end the call for individual members of the group by mousing over their image and clicking the red "End Call" button. End the entire call by clicking the red "End Call" button at the bottom of the screen.

Choose contacts for the group.

Select contacts from your list to include in the group. You can select up to nine contacts for one group.

Click "add" when you have finished selecting contacts. You can see the contacts you selected in the bar on the bottom of the screen.
