The 295 series chainsaw from Poulan Pro is a professional grade chainsaw available with three different chain sizes. Poulan manufactures repair kits for use in repairing or replacing the carburetor, muffler and piston assemblies. Wear parts including the spark plug and chain are also available.

Carburetor Assembly

  • Several repair kits are available for the carburetor assembly on the Poulan Pro 295. The basic kit (part No. 530069825) includes the welch plug, diaphragms, inlet needle and lever, screen and gaskets. Kit No. 530069844 contains only gaskets and diaphragms for worn carburetors. Both high- and low-limiter caps are also available for purchase independently from the carburetor repair kits.

Chains and Bars

  • Depending on the specific model configuration purchased, the Poulan Series 295 chain saw chain replacement is available in 16-, 18- and 20-inch lengths. Coordinating bars are available as well. The bar for a 20-inch 295 series chain saw is available in both standard and quick-adjust configurations. The bar should be replaced if it becomes bent, and both the chain and bar should be replaced if they exhibit excessive wear.

Piston Parts

  • The piston assembly on the Poulan 295 series consists of a ring, pin bearing and pin retainer. All three parts are available for purchase independently, but may also be purchased in a kit form by ordering part No. 3006954.

Muffler Parts

  • The muffler assembly for the Poulan Pro 295 series chainsaw is made up of a gasket, plate, muffler body, diffuser, cover and bolt. The muffler repair kit, part No. 530069707, contains the diffuser, bolt, cover and muffler body. The gasket and plate, when they require replacement, must be purchased separately from the muffler repair kit.

Spark Plug

  • Poulan recommends replacing the spark plug each year for optimum performance. The replacement spark plug for the 295 series chainsaw is a model No. RCJ7Y, manufactured by Champion.
