W810 Vs. W810i
Sony Ericsson introduced the W810i Walkman mobile phone in January, 2006. Replacing the W800i, this is the third Walkman phone released in the United States. This is a true music player mobile phone and it has a dedicated button on the face of the phone that will immediately take you to the Walkman music features. This is a quad band world phone that offers 850/900/1800/1900 megahertz plus EDGE Class 10 capabilities. It has a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, speakerphone and improved keypad. W810i is the correct model number for this phone and there is no W810 version of this phone.

W810 Model Number Confusion
-
There is no difference between the W810 and the W810i because the W810 model number does not exist in the Sony Ericsson product line. W810 is sometimes erroneously used, (without the "I"), in some third-party blogs and product reviews. In the Sony Ericsson online users guide for this phone it is referred to as the W810a, which is the same W810i phone. Another model number variation is the W810c which again is the same phone only dedicated for use in China.
W810i Music Features
-
This Walkman mobile phone is exactly what it sounds like -- it is a mobile phone that has full Walkman music player included inside the phone. With a dedicated button on the face of the phone to activate the Walkman music features, it really is like having a Walkman with you all the time. You can load the phone with the music of your choice via USB cable from your PC. The music is stored on a Memory Stick Pro Duo, a proprietary Sony item, which allows you to change your music library whenever you want.

Bluetooth
-
This phone has wireless Bluetooth capability however it is not capable of stereo via Bluetooth. It still plays through any Bluetooth compatible headset and you can get music in both ear buds although it will be mono not stereo.
Miscellaneous
-
Sony improved the keypad on this phone to get away from "mushy" and "poorly designed" keypad complaints that plagued the previous Walkman phones. The physical size of the phone is 3.9 inches by 1.8 inches by 0.8 inches and it weighs 3.5 ounces. It has a 1.8-inch diagonal screen that offers a resolution of 176 by 220 pixels. Its built-in organizer has all the usual goodies such as an alarm clock, a task list, a notepad, calendar, calculator and various timer and stopwatch features. This phone can be USB synced with contacts and files on your PC.
