You can download the Facebook application from the iTunes App Store for free. Open the iTunes App Store and click on the "Search" icon in the bottom right corner. Type in Facebook. Click the "Install" button on the Facebook application page. Once you download this application, you can log in to your Facebook profile with your username and account. Once you have the Facebook application, you can share status updates, upload photos, create Notes and chat with your Friends.

To access your Facebook account, you need a wireless network connection. The iPod Touch 4 requires a Wi-Fi connection to access the Internet. You can use your home Wi-Fi or you can use a public hotspot to access the Internet.

Open up the Facebook application. Click on the "Photo" button at the top of your News Feed. You can then choose to take a photo or video or you can choose from your library. Choose the image you want to upload. Write a caption for your image. Click the "Upload" button. Your image is uploaded to your Facebook account and a story is posted to your wall.

If you don't want to use the Facebook application, you can open up Facebook in Safari. From here, you simply need to log in to your account. You then upload a photo by clicking on the "Photo" link next to the "Share" header. You then choose the photo on your iPod Touch. Write a caption for your image. Click the "Upload" button. Your image is uploaded to your Facebook account and a story is posted to your wall.
