"MouseHunt" Tournament Tips
MouseHunt is a game that can be played on Facebook through an application or on the website mousehuntgame.com. The object of the game is to travel around to different parts of the kingdom and try to catch the unique mice that live in each location. Catching mice earns you points and gold, which allow you to buy bait, items, better traps and bases. Players can also compete in tournaments to earn tournament tokens, a collectable item.

Hunting Parties
-
A hunting party is a team of up to four mouse hunters that work together to try and score more points against the other teams. A mouse hunter needs to be at least at the "Apprentice" level to join a party. When competing in a tournament, one player on your team can sound the "party horn," which will allow everyone in your group to go on a hunt. The group creator can name their party and enter them into the tournaments.
Tournaments
-
Tournaments are one or two day competitions to see which team can score the most points by catching mice. Each tournament has its own rules. Typically the goal of the tournament will be to try and hunt for a specific type of mouse. That mouse will be worth a lot of points, while other mice will be worth very little. The members of your party do not have to be in the same location to hunt together; they can spread out across the kingdom.

Multiplier
-
When competing in a tournament, a new bar displays across the top of the screen in the box that holds your information. This bar is your multiplier. It starts at 1x, and slowly begins to build as you make successful consecutive catches. While catching mice make the multiplier go up, missing mice cause it to drop. If nobody on your team sounds the party horn within an hour, the multiplier will reset to zero. It is critical to keep your multiplier up while competing in tournaments.
Prizes
-
While many teams compete in tournaments, only the top 100 are rewarded for their efforts. For placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd, teams receive a tournament chest, a collectable item that may be able to be unlocked at a later date. Teams placing 4th through 49th typically receive two tournament tokens, while teams placing 50th through 100th receive one tournament token. The tokens are currently only a collectable item, but they may be used for crafting purposes in the future. Exact payouts for a special tournament may differ from this outline.
