Priest Scroll Cheats for "Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn"

Save

Spell scrolls are special items in "Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn" that allow characters with magic classes, such as wizards and priests, to learn spells. Scrolls can be purchased from shops and found as treasure, but they can also be acquired through the command console. Priest spells allow your characters to heal injuries, resurrect the dead and damage evil and undead enemies. Finding scrolls is essential for your priests to develop. Some spells do not have scrolls and can only be learned by completing quests and other special events.

Enabling Cheats

  • The command console is locked by default. Enable the command console by opening the "Baldur.ini" file, located in the main "Baldur's Gate II" directory, and inserting "Debug Mode=1" under the "[Program Options]" section of the "Baldur.ini" file. You can edit "Baldur.ini" with any text-editing program, such as Notepad. Start "Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn" and load your game. Press the "Ctrl" and "Space" keys simultaneously to open the command console.

Creating Priest Scrolls

  • You can use the command console to create items, including Priest scrolls. Item creation codes use a base code followed by a specific item code and a value. Entering 'CLUAConsole:CreateItem("restore",5)' in the command console, for example, will create five scrolls of Greater Restoration. You can enter the command without a number to create a single copy of an item and can create up to 99 copy of an item in a single command.

Gate

  • The Gate spell (scrl9n) summons a powerful pit fiend that attacks your enemies and other characters. While a powerful minion, the pit fiend will attack any character not affected by the Protection from Evil spell (scrl3h) including civilians and your own party members, so remember to prepare your party before summoning the pit fiend.

Greater Restoration

  • Greater Restoration (restore) is the ultimate healing spell that heals all damage and status conditions and restores drained levels. Magical enemies become more common as you progress through "Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn," and Greater Restoration will allow you to undo damage caused by their spells. Unfortunately, Greater Restoration will fatigue the caster, so keep the caster out of combat after healing with Greater Restoration until you can allow the caster to rest.

Finger of Death

  • Finger of Death (scrl80) is one of the most powerful spells in "Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn." It allows you to make a single attack against an enemy. An enemy targeted by Finger of Death must make a saving throw versus spells with a -2 modifier and will die instantly if they fail the roll. Enemies that succeed on the roll take between 3 and 17 damage.
