Many young single mothers end up leaving high school without graduating or getting their diploma. Fortunately for these women, General Educational Development (GED) programs exist to help them earn their high school diploma outside of school. Under a GED program, a person who has not graduated high school has to pass a series of five tests with a score equivalent to the 60th percentile of all U.S. high school students to receive a diploma.
