Good Jobs for Teen Girls
You can start your own business or work for one of several employers when you are a teenager. The federal government restricts you from doing particularly hazardous work until you turn 18, but many options are open to you. If you are a teen girl who likes to craft, be outside or take care of things and other people, you can find a job that fits your schedule and helps you rake in some extra money.

Crafting

If you are good at making a particular kind of craft, make a few and put them up for sale on a website, like Etsy or online classifieds sites. Create your own website to promote your wares and get business cards to hand out to people you meet. You can work when you are able, control your schedule and determine the cost of your items. Check with local boutiques and shops to see if they will carry your merchandise as well.
Calligraphy

Brides sometimes like to send handwritten, calligraphy invitations out to their guests. If they are too busy or have horrible writing, they might hire you to address and mail their invitations for them. Check with local churches or other places of worship to get in contact with wedding planners. Meet with the wedding planners and bring examples of your work to demonstrate that you have the skills necessary to do a good job on invitations. The planners can then recommend you to their clients.

Photography

If you enjoy photography, pursue a job as a photographer's assistant. The assistant tells people to stand in certain spots and generally helps the photographer. This is a job where you might work at weddings or in a studio.
Child Care

Whether you babysit or work in a day care center, you will gain experience supervising youngsters. If you work in a day care center, you will also learn to do lesson plans and learn more about child development, which is particularly important if you want to become a teacher down the road. In a day care center, you do not have to work the weekends and you can work after school to about 6 or 6:30 p.m., leaving plenty of time for homework and friends in the evenings. If you babysit, you can charge what you want, within reason, work your own hours and choose the jobs you take.
Gardening

Offer your services as a gardener in the spring and summer. Many people would rather not have to clean out their flower beds and put down mulch in the spring. They might not want to plant their own gardens, either. You can make regular appointments with homeowners to come by and maintain their property and gardens for them. You could also watch a pet or a home while people are on vacation.
