As of 2009 women made up 46 percent of the work force, according to the U. S. Department of Labor, meaning men are more likely than ever to work with women either as colleagues or clients. While the top three jobs employing women remain secretaries, nurses and teachers, the top 20 also includes managers, accountants and customer service representatives. As a male, there certain jobs to consider when determining the best positions to work with women.

Work as a bartender and you're almost guaranteed to work around a lot of women, both as colleagues and patrons. Bartenders are notorious for listening to people's problems so you'll likely grow closer to the female population through this intimate contact. If serving alcohol isn't your style, any kind of restaurant waiter also has similar contact with women.
Nursing

Since nursing is still a predominately female career, you'll work alongside a significant amount of women if you pursue this profession. The larger the facility in which you choose to work, the better the opportunity to work with fellow nurses of the female variety. Smaller clinics also gives you contact with a lot women but more in the form of patients.

The Department of Labor's statistics show education remains a field dominated by women. Seek to teach lower grade levels for the most exposure to the female population. On a professional level, you will have access to women through connecting on every education level, including college, but best the avenue is found in primary and secondary schools.

If you are body conscious and enjoy spending time around women who take care of their health, this career field will appeal to you. You can team up professionally with a female trainer or coach female clientele to work with women in this industry.
