A flea market carries a variety of products.

Flea markets are bazaars where you can find a variety of inexpensive items. Some organizers of flea markets host the events in large empty parking lots, school gyms, convention centers or even outdoors under large tents. Most flea markets are free to the public; each vendor pays to display his products. If you find an item you like, you pay the vendor directly for it. When attending a flea market, you run in to a variety of vendors.

  1. Food Vendors

    • Typically, large flea markets have an array of food vendors. Some vendors may allow one vendor for one particular cuisine, while other flea markets have several vendors offering the same cuisine. Most flea markets have a couple of vendors that sell funnel cakes and corn dogs. However, you can find food vendors that sell Spanish food, American food, Jamaican food and a host of other cuisines.

    Antique Vendors

    • Some flea markets sell only antiques, while other flea market have vendors selling antiques sprinkled among other vendors selling an array of products. Antique vendors typically sell old collectible items. Usually, the best of these vendors have antiques that are in good condition, rare and old.

    Clothing Vendors

    • Flea markets usually have a plethora of clothing vendors. Some vendors may focus on inexpensive women's fashion, while other vendors carry men's clothing. Additionally, some vendors opt for clothing for boys and girls. In addition, you can find vendors that sell undergarments such as slips, bras and underwear and panties.

    Shoe Vendors

    • Larger flea markets may have a variety of shoe vendors. Some flea markets have counterfeit shoes. However, many flea markets carry and sell the real shoe brands. Some shoe vendors simply carry a particular type of shoe such as sandals, gym shoes and high heels.

    Art Vendors

    • Typically, art vendors at a flea market display artwork they personally create. However, you can also find art vendors that sell other people's artwork. Some artwork found at a flea market may include paintings, pottery, glass art, framed art or collectible figurines such as angels and lighthouses.
