Hints on "Oblivion: Vahtacen's Secret"
In 2006, Bethesda released the epic single-player role-playing game "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion." This is an open-ended game with a vast world to explore and conduct quests in. There is a single main quest that revolves around saving the world from an evil presence, and many smaller sidequests are also available. "Oblivion" features several player classes that allow you to rise in rank by completing these quests. If you are playing the Mage class and have already attained the Evoker rank, your next rank is Conjurer. To gain this rank, you have to complete the quest entitled "Vahtacen's Secret."

Speak with Raminus Polus in the Arch-Mage's Lobby. He is there most of the day and part of the night. Raminus will refer you to Irlav Jarol. Speak with Jarol and get the key from him. He will tell you that you should speak with Skaleel at Vahtacen.
Vahtacen

Go to Vahtacen and enter the cave. Go through the opening at the end and talk to Skaleel. Unlock the gate at the northwest corner and enter it. There is a pillar inside, along with magical books and a chest. You'll also find magical inscriptions on the wall. Talk to Denel, who will be standing near the pillar. He will point out the inscriptions and explain that without a reference book, he will be unable to translate them. Return to Skaleel, get the magical reference book and give it to Denel. Talk to Denel on the topic of Translation and he will translate the inscriptions for you.

Spells

Cast a series of spells on the pillar; these are the spells named in the inscriptions on the wall. In order, they are Fire Damage, Frost Damage, Damage Magicka and Fortify Magicka. Cast the spells from the corner where the chest is. If your character has already memorized these spells, cast them from your own spell repertoire. If not, read them from the scrolls in the chest. After you cast the spells, the pillar will lower, revealing a staircase. Descend the stairs to reach a room with suspended cages. Activate both switches and get the helmet that appears.
Completion

Present the helmet to Skaleel. He will tell you to give it to Irlav Jarol. Return to Jarol and hand over the helmet. Talk to Raminus and he will up your rank to Conjurer. You will also get your Conjurer's robe.
