What Happens When You Grow Your Dragon in "Dragon Fable?"

In the free, single-player fantasy role-playing game "Dragon Fable" you are an adventuring hero who collects items, skills and even pets. You can have only one of these pets summoned at a time. While in battle, your pet will automatically attack for you. These pets are not themselves attacked, and thus do not require healing. The baby dragon pet is unique in that it can grow up. A grown dragon offers many advantages. It has its own hit-point bar, you can control it, and you can bring it and another pet into battle with you. In addition to growing up your dragon, you can evolve it into a Titan Dragon.

  1. How to Grow Your Draogn

    • Travel to Sunbreeze Grove. Here you must find and speak to Lady Celestia. Choose the topic "Baby Dragons" and select "Grow Dragon." Celestia charges 10 thousand gold to grow your dragon. This price is not refundable and you cannot sell your grown dragon to any vendor. Thus, before growing your dragon make sure that you can afford the hefty price.

    Pets and your Dragon

    • A grown dragon can be brought along as an ally as Guest B instead of a pet. This means that when you do not have an ally you can bring both your dragon and a pet to a battle. Many players grow their dragons simply for this reason. Additionally, you can choose to instead summon your dragon. By summoning your dragon instead of equipping it to Guest B you can still bring an ally and fight alongside your pet just as before it was grown.

    Grown Dragon Skills and Stats

    • As a guest, you control your dragon in combat. Your dragon has two options: attack and wait. Waiting is available so that your dragon can avoid taking damage from monsters with counterattack or "on hit" skills. Additionally, your dragon carries up to three potions (two hit points and one mind point). Your dragon will have the same number of maximum hit points and maximum mind points as you. Many enemies will now be able to attack your dragon. This mitigates much of the damage that you take in harder battles later in the game.

    Titan Dragons

    • Return to Lady Celestia and choose "DragonRider." Using your dragon amulet you can now complete DragonRider quests that will continue to grow your dragon into a Titan Dragon. For each of these quests you must defeat one of the legendary dragons. Your Titan Dragon can be ridden through the summon command by a dragon rider. While riding a dragon, dragon riders have access to the dragon egg skills you acquire from the dragon rider quests.
