Prayer Beads

Buddhists frequently use prayer beads during their prayer sessions. The main purpose of these beads is to rid the person from evil in his life, and to bring him joy, peace, happiness and other positive options. They move the prayer beads through their fingers, starting at the bead next to the Guru bead, by moving to the next bead after completing one mantra. When they return to the Guru bead, they reverse the direction of movement.
Beginning of the Prayers
-
When entering into prayer, Buddhists need to remember that prayer is also an important form of meditation. Therefore, they will be peaceful and respectful during this time. At the beginning of the prayer, they invoke a sangha. A sangha is a member of the Buddhist religious community. After they invoke this member, the group will then move on to the body of the prayer, where worshipers perform three key prostrations.

The Prostrations
-
Students of dharma or sadhaka perform the three prostrations: the body, speech and mind. are . These prostrations are performed in honor of the three bodies of Buddha: Dharmakaya, Smbhogakaya and Nirmanakaya. During the prostrations, the student places his palms, knees and forehead onto the ground to symbolize the five elements of the earth. He folds his hands together to symbolize the 10 directions, a key component of the teachings of Buddhism.
Ending of the Prayer
-
A combination of elements may come into play during some of these Buddhist prayer sessions, such as mon-lay prayers and Bodhisattva vows. However, at the end of all of these prayers, the community expresses happiness and excitement over good deeds that other individuals have performed, thereby strengthening the interpersonal connections of the Buddhist community. Furthermore, they send out a prayer to Buddha to instruct them as to how to live their lives in the proper manner.
