Fourth of July floral displays include symbols of American freedom such as flags.

Proudly displaying the national colors of red, white and blue, Americans celebrate the Fourth of July, commemorating American Independence from Great Britain in the Revolutionary War. Flags wave from homes, businesses and are held by young and old alike. Floral marketing display ideas incorporate not only the color symbols of American freedom but also symbols of different states to create memorable arrangements. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. State Pride

    • Create a floral marketing display that incorporates the state flower and other state symbols in a bouquet or other floral arrangement. For example, the Nebraska state flower is the Goldenrod and the state bird is the Western Meadowlark. Start with a piece of Styrofoam. Center an arrangement of Goldenrod flowers. Around the flowers, into the Styrofoam alternate the U.S. and Nebraska state flags, finish with greenery to cover the Styrofoam. Add Goldenrod flowers to an arrangement of white carnations, tuck into the flowers a few Western Meadowlark birds. Wrap the vase in red, white and blue ribbon. Create a poster using both the national and state mottoes. Glue sprigs of the state flower in a circle around an American flag.

    Create a Flag

    • The American flag, more than any other symbol, is the one most often seen and used on the Fourth of July to express patriotism. Create a flag floral marketing display using red, white and blue flowers. In order to use the flowers to hand out, pot them in small pots or vases and arrange in a low-sided tray. The flowers make up the American flag, but can be given away as prizes or to customers for businesses who purchase the floral flag displays. Use red, white and blue flower petals to create the U.S. flag on poster board. The heading can read, "The Fourth of July. A Day of Celebration and Gratitude."

    All About History

    • Make a floral marketing display of red, white and blue flowers. Tuck in an American flag. Hang in front of the vase a copy of the Declaration of Independence. Out of parchment create miniature copies of the Declaration of Independence. Roll them up and tie with ribbon. Tuck them into the floral display for the Fourth of July. On a poster show copies of founding documents such as the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and the preamble to the U.S. Constitution. Include illustrations of the flag, Liberty Bell and the Statue of Liberty created with red, white and blue flower petals. Create a frame of flower petals around the edges of the poster.

    Symbols of Freedom

    • Start with a floral marketing display of red, white and blue flowers. Into the center add a 3-D plastic or ceramic Statue of Liberty or the Liberty Bell. Make sure the 3-D image rises above the flowers. Around a large vase add symbols of American freedom such as images of the American flag, the Statue of Liberty, the Declaration of Independence and Uncle Sam. Add a selection of red, white and blue flowers to complete your floral marketing display for the Fourth of July.
