Wishing upon a falling star may work for some, but your teen may want a more adult theme for her room. A celestial room can bring in a star theme in a variety of methods. A deep midnight blue ceiling might have a series of glow-in-the-dark constellations with a crescent moon, while a telescope might angle toward the night sky by the window. A midnight blue comforter with the Big Dipper, North Star and Pegasus covers the bed with a huge star cut-out as a wall-mounted headboard. An accent wall can use celestial maps on the upper portion with a deep blue stain bead board beneath.

The bed might be covered in a navy comforter with appliquéd stars.

Football is big business in Texas, and a football fan might appreciate a Dallas Cowboy-themed room. As the logo for the team is a star and the team colors are blue and white, use these as inspiration for your décor. A large white star, made with rope lights, can provide illumination to the room and carry the theme when you place it against a navy blue wall. Curtains with a Dallas Cowboy logo drape floor-to-ceiling on the windows, while an authentic Dallas team comforter keeps him warm at night.
