Invitations That Look Like a Concert Ticket

Making your party invitations look like concert tickets gets people's attention and excites guests about your upcoming party. The tickets look similar to those used for admission to sporting events, concerts and other events. Make the tickets yourself, using your computer or craft supplies you have on hand, or make the tickets using a template you download from the Internet.

  1. Ticket Templates

    • Use a downloadable template or an invitation website to make your concert ticket invitations. Your Custom Items and Ploygraphics are just a few sites that offer this option. Choose between realistic looking templates and those with a more colorful and handmade vibe. The realistic tickets are made to look exactly like a computer generated concert ticket, but with your party event, address and phone number listed on the front. Other tickets look more like an old-fashioned carnival ticket. Make sure that you double check the time and other information listed on the front before printing or buying the invitations.

    Handmade Tickets

    • Make your own party invitations from sheets of construction paper. Cut the paper into long strips and use a black marker to draw a large rectangle in the center. Divide the rectangle into three boxes and write "Admit One" into the rectangles on the sides. On top of the rectangle write fun information, such as a seat number. Use the center part to write the time, address, and date of the party, as well as the honoree's name if you're throwing a birthday party. Cut small notches into the ticket to create a stub.

    Computer Tickets

    • Create computer generated tickets using the image processing software on your home computer. Take an existing concert ticket and scan it into the computer. Use that ticket as your template. Change the date and event name on the front to the information required for your party, but keep the original colors and other design on the tickets. When you print the invitations, write any other details on the back, such as a RSVP date.

    Extra Accessories

    • For a fun twist on the idea, poke a small hole into the end of each ticket. Thread an inexpensive plastic necklace through the hole and clasp it closed. Include a note inside the envelope, asking your guests to wear their necklace for admission to the VIP event. If you can't find the inexpensive necklaces, then try using a thick piece of yarn or a lanyard.
