Themes for a Girl Baptism

A baptism marks an important religious milestone in a baby's and family;s life. Many families throw a reception party in honor of the baptized child after the church ceremony. Make the most of your daughter's baptism celebration by selecting a specific theme that relates to the religious day. Impress your guests with matching decorations and baptism details.

Angels

  • Use the religious symbol of an angel as the theme for your baby girl's baptism party. Pair this symbol with a feminine color scheme such as pink, purple or white, the color of purity. Send out invitations to friends and family with angels, inviting loved ones to the baptism ceremony and reception. Use other items with angels at the party such as place mats, plates, cups, a cake, banners, streamers and balloons. Hand out chocolate candy favors to each of your guests that are wrapped in an angel wrapper with your daughter's name and baptism date.

Floral Cross

  • Select a baptism theme for your daughter that's feminine and religious. Stick with a theme that displays floral crosses, the religious symbol of Christianity. Pick a floral design in a color that suits your little girl. Pink or red make excellent color choices that "pop." Use vases of fresh flowers on the tables to add further floral touches. Candles with cross emblems painted on each can also be added to tabletops to emphasize your theme.

Noah's Ark

  • Maintain a consistent theme that represents the biblical story of Noah's Ark throughout your daughter's baptism celebration. Display cute cartoon animals on your invitations and decorations such as a tablecloth, confetti, hanging mobile and balloons. Use animals such as monkeys, giraffes, zebras, lions, elephants and hippos. These can displayed on tableware that can include dinner plates, cake plates, cups and napkins. Have your cake made with a Noah's Ark theme as well that features animals in bright colors on the ark.

Precious Moments

  • Give your little girl's baptism party a theme that reflects the Precious Moments collection. Display the Precious Moments children on your tableware. You can even fill Precious Moments party favor bags with candy for each guest to take home. Have a specialty cake made that features Precious Moments children and other religious symbols such as a cross, dove or heart. Give your daughter a Precious Moments collectible gift to start a collection.
