You have a double portion of fun in your family, thanks to your set of boy and girl twins. Halloween is a holiday when you can show them off by dressing them up in a hilarious, cute or adventurous costumes. With the option of boy and girl twins, you will find plenty of ideas for dress-up.
Are you and your kids movie buffs? Dress them up like Luke and Leia from the legendary "Star Wars." If you want to lean more toward current popular culture, try letting them dress as Harry Potter and Hermione. Or you could do a classic film and dress them as characters Dorothy and the Scarecrow (or Lion) from "Wizard of Oz." Danny and Sandy from the movie "Grease" are also an idea for those of you who are fans of modern musicals.
Cartoon and Kids Show Characters
Depending on their age, your kids are probably crazy about cartoons. Have them pick out their favorite cartoon and dress them accordingly. Some of these costumes might include Dora and Diego from "Dora the Explorer" who travel the world and make discoveries. Or you could help them by choosing classic cartoons like Pebbles and Bam-Bam from "The Flintstones" or Charlie Brown and Lucy from "Peanuts." You might also try Kermit and Miss Piggy from "The Muppets" or Barney and Baby Bop from "Barney and Friends."
Classic and Creative Costumes
If your twins are still tiny, dress them up in cute boy/girl costumes such as pink and blue bunny rabbits, a pea and a pod, or pink and blue M&Ms. Raggedy Ann and Andy have been a classic twin costume for years. If you want to bring a little shock value, try dressing them in a biker costumes as a Harley dude and biker chick. There is always the quarterback and cheerleader costume that is often a hit. You could also choose to do a little bride and groom or dress them as the famous Barbie and Ken dolls.
Disney and Fairy Tales
If you're going cutesy and classic, choose to dress your twins up as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, the Disney greats. Go fairy tale and dress them as Cinderella and Prince Charming, Hansel and Gretel, or Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. Some more modern Disney ideas include the Little Mermaid and Prince Eric, Aladdin and Jasmine or Tarzan and Jane -- complete with a little loincloth. Peter Pan and Tinker Bell are always costumes that reminds us of youthfulness.
