Easy Crafts
-
For a simple craft, have the children thread a large jingle bell on a piece of leather lace. Adjust the length of the leather for a necklace or bracelet. For added decoration, the children can use a small paint brush and paint small designs on the jingle bells with acrylic paint. Another idea is to cover the leather lace with several miniature or small jingle bells. If you do not have leather lace, the children can use yarn or thick string.
Pipe Cleaner Crafts
-
Give the kids a variety of pipe cleaners to make jingle bell jewelry. For Christmas, the kids can twist red and green pipe cleaners together. Have the kids slide jingle bells on the pipe cleaners as they twist them together. For Valentine's Day, the kids can twist white, red and pink pipe cleaners together and add bells as they twist. For added decoration, have the kids add pony beads to the pipe cleaners and spray them with glitter spray. Children can make anklets, bracelets and necklaces.

Wreath Crafts
-
For an elegant wreath like the one found on the Babycenter website, have the children use silver or gold jingle bells and satin ribbon. Form a piece of 16-gauge wire into a circle and form a small loop on the end using a pair of pliers. For younger children, have an adult help with the pliers. Fill the craft wire with several bells until it is completely full. Twist the unlooped end of the wire into a hook to attach to the looped end. Tie the satin ribbon into a bow and attach it to the top or bottom of the wreath. For holiday wreaths, paint the jingle bells with corresponding acrylic paints before making the wreath. For Halloween, paint the bells orange and black. Glue small plastic spiders on a few of the bells and attach a couple of pieces of fake spider webs. For a fall-themed wreath, paint the bells orange, yellow, red and brown. Attach a couple of miniature fall leaves to the wreath.
Noisemaker Crafts
-
The Make and Takes website recommends making a noisemaker with jingle bells. Just stick a pipe cleaner into the end of the jingle bell with a hole and pull it half way through. Fold it in half and twist the stems together, making the stems stiff. The kids can hold the pipe cleaners in their hands and shake them to make noise. For another noisemaker, give the children empty toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls. Have them tape one end of the roll closed and place two or three bells in the tube. Tape the other end and shake the tube to make the jingle bells ring. For added decoration, the children can use tissue paper, construction paper, stickers, markers and glitter pens to decorate the outside of the tubes.
