Tools for Christian Youth Evangelism
People engaged in Christian youth evangelism are continually searching for new and innovative ideas to reach young people. Relationships remain the single key element in all effective youth evangelism programs. Whether developing on-line youth devotionals, organizing functions for an entire group of kids or just reaching out to an individual, the right tools for Christian youth evangelism can make a big difference in young people's lives.

Online Devotionals
-
There are literally hundreds of online devotionals for young people wanting to know more about God or get closer to him. As a tool for youth evangelism, online devotionals are an effective, non-threatening way to get young folks to take a look at things through spiritual eyes. Online devotionals offer a means for youth to get motivated and learn more about their spiritual walk with God. Topics for online devotionals include basics about God, how to share your faith, prayer, finding purpose and integrity.

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association has produced an innovative toll for those interested in bringing the message of Christ and salvation to young people everywhere. The "Dare to be Daniel" tool kit provides step-by-step instructions on how kids can share their faith with others. The biblical story of Daniel serves as the centerpiece of this kit because he stood for his belief in God against all odds, even in the face of possible death. These youth evangelism kits are free of charge.
Since 1991, Dare2Share Ministries (dare2share.org) has impacted the lives of more than 300,000 teens. This ministry offers more than 1,400 free evangelism resources for both youth and youth leaders.

Small Groups
-
One of the most basic of Christian youth evangelism tools, the small group can serve as a very effective means to reach kids for Christ. Relationships are forged and strengthened in smaller groups of people, and this is even more true for young people. Small groups may encourage young folks to speak out about things they would not normally bring up in a large group setting like a Bible class or church service. Youth in small groups may encourage or challenge one another, talk about their failings and share in one another's joys, convictions and passions.
Service Projects
-
The main purpose of this youth evangelism tool serves to encourage and evangelize young folks while building positive relationships with adults. The youth involved in this event will also learn what it means to serve others, a basic tenet of Christian belief. Take some time to train a group of young people to babysit children for parents in the church. This program may be extended to the surrounding community as well. Youth not only learn about giving of their own time, they get exposed to other adults and may have the opportunity for evangelism.
Another idea involves performing a Christmas play or concert at a local juvenile detention facility. This event would provide many face-to-face evangelistic opportunities for Christian youth to share their faith with others.
