Taking a walk in the park at sunset is a romantic way to spend an evening with your man.

If you are tired of going to the theater or a restaurant for a romantic evening, there are many other options. No matter what your budget is, where you live or what season of the year it is, there are outdoor romantic activities with which to surprise your boyfriend.

Take to the Sea

If you live near the water, take your boyfriend on a walk on the beach at sunset or sunrise. Put together a picnic dinner complete with candles and wine to surprise him. If you live on the coast, you may have the option of ferry boat rides and dinner cruises. Dinner cruises are sunset boat tours that last anywhere from two to four hours. They often include dinner and entertainment in the form of a band, comedian or other show .

Camping

Escape the everyday distractions of life and stake your claim in the woods -- just the two of you. Cook a meal and warm yourself around the fire. If you are near a stream, go wading and spend the sunset or sunrise hours taking in the natural surroundings on a romantic walk through the woods.

Concerts and Shows

In warmer months many cities offer outdoor concerts and movies projected on large inflatable screens. These are usually free. The concerts can occur anytime of day or night, but the movies usually start at sunset since the sunlight distorts the images on the screen. Take a picnic lunch, a couple of beach chairs and enjoy the entertainment.

Winter

During the cold months of the year, take your man ice skating at an outdoor rink. Rent skates and spend a couple of hours on the ice, then grab a blanket to keep you both warm and take a horse-drawn carriage ride. Ue to time to warm up and relax after an afternoon of skating.
