Geeky Gifts for Guys
Guns, suits, watches and sports equipment define the male gift. Such gifts, however, only acknowledge male stereotypes without any care to appeal to his geeky side. Certainly all men don't spend the entirety of their free time shooting guns while playing football in their Armani suit, right? When guys aren't being overly macho, they love to do things like play video games while possibly wearing suits and smoking cigars to keep their manliness up.

First-Person Shooters
-
The male mind has been entangled in a love affair with shooting things even before it can form a coherent sentence. Any item is a gun in the hands of a boy, so it's no wonder why so many men gravitate toward video games where the main goal is to shoot virtual manifestations of dangerous people and animals. First-person shooters have become so popular among gamers in America that recent studies show a player on average spends more time playing "Call of Duty: Black Ops" than he spends on Facebook each day. Apparently there's just something about holding a virtual weapon and killing an enemy who simply re-spawns and tries to kill you again.
Scott Pilgrim
-
What could be more geeky than a comic book about a charming geek who woos an Asian Catholic school-girl and blue-haired hipster chick at the same time while fighting scores of the latter's evil ex-boyfriends kung-fu style? Probably a movie about said comic followed by a video game throw-back to the 8-bit generation for Xbox Live. The story of Scott Pilgrim is the ultimate geek fantasy, and the fact Scott is a womanizing slacker with the best fighting skills in Canada and two beautiful girls competing for his affection doesn't make it any less of a great geek gift for guys.

Wi-Fi Detector Shirt
-
Most guys don't go somewhere and think to themselves, "I wonder how strong the Wi-Fi signal in here is." Geeky guys, however, are not most guys. Any sophisticated geek worth his salt could tell you breaking out his smart phone or laptop to gauge the Wi-Fi signal is too much an effort. The Wi-Fi detector shirt simplifies this by displaying the signal right on the front of the shirt. Not only will he appreciate this gift, but so will other nerds in his vicinity.
OXM Magazine Subscription
-
A gamer without a guide is like a mountain climber without a Sherpa. Sure there's the Internet, but few online magazines offer the credibility and exclusivity of print publications such as the Official Xbox Magazine. Not to mention a magazine subscription will cut down on your favorite geeky guy's time spent at the store buying the magazine every month: Time which would be better dedicated to sitting in front of an HDTV playing first-person shooters.
