Purchased
-
While the least creative option, Yoda costumes in various styles fill shelves in stores and virtual racks online. Depending on the retail source choices will vary. Items on the market, though, include individual parts ranging from masks to hands and full costumes. Yoda costumes for babies and toddlers hold positions in catalogs. Some outlets even carry Yoda costumes for dogs. No shortage of choices exists for buying Yoda costume gear at Halloween stores or online retailers.
Clothing
-
No matter the choice made in terms of mask options, unless purchasing a full costume, a Yoda costume requires a certain piece of clothing. Dark brown pants start things off, topped by a dark brown shirt. A long robe, similar to a hooded clerical garment covers the outfit. It should reach to ankle-length and have loose-fitting sleeves. The color of the robe varies some from depiction to depiction. White, off-white or khaki colors work for the robe.

Head, Hands and Feet
-
Unless opting to buy appliances for the face and extremities, getting an exact match will prove difficult. In general, though, apply makeup to face and hands. Footwear should be painted green with toes painted on as detailing. Tufts of white hair should top the head. Build ears from construction paper or cloth and attach them to the side of the head. Consult pictures of the character to get the correct shape. Simulate the contours of the forehead by drawing them in with darker green makeup.
Accessories
-
A dark brown belt serves as both an accessory and the holder for a light saber. Toy stores, costume stores and online retailers sell light sabers ranging from fairly inexpensive toys all the way up to detailed props. Depending on skill level, constructing a replica is also possible. Yoda carries a walking stick. A real walking stick fills the bill, but prop versions are sold. You could even assemble paper towel rolls to create a non-functional prop.
