FL Studio 11 has a dedicated Open Sound Files tool designed to help you import audio into the program. FL Studio is compatible with audio files in the MP3 and WAV file formats. Once you’ve added songs from your iTunes library, you can edit them as you would tracks created in FL Studio. Before sharing any projects that include modified music by other artists, make sure you’ve obtained permission from the original creator.

Step 1

Click “Channels” on the main menu in FL Studio, select “Add one” and then choose “Audio clip” to create a new channel for the song you want to import from iTunes.

Step 2

Click the “Audio Clip” channel button to open the Audio Clip channel settings window if it doesn’t open automatically.

Step 3

Click the “Open sound files” button (resembling a file folder) and browse to your iTunes media library. On Windows 8 computers, your iTunes library is located in the directory "C:\Users\username\My Music\iTunes\" where "username" is the name of your Windows user account.

Step 4

Select the song you want to import and click “Open.”

Step 5

Click the “Draw” button (resembling a pencil) on the Playlist window tools menu to initiate the Draw tool.

Step 6

Click your mouse at the location in your project where you want to insert your iTunes song.
