Intricate nail art and design is a popular trend. Detailed nail art including pictures of people, animals and just about everything in between can be seen among teenagers and celebrities alike. Konad Nail Art is a leader in nail art and supplies. The company is best known for its nail stamp art kit, which consists of a large variety of nail stamping designs. Konad nail stamping designs work best when paired with certain types of nail polishes.
Konad Special Nail Polish
The Konad nail stamping designs require the use of polishes that don't dry too quickly and allow the design to set and come through the polish correctly. Konad offers a line of special nail polish designed specifically for use with the nail stamping kit. The polishes are formulated with five times more velocity than regular polish to increase better results. The Konad special nail polish comes in a variety of basic, florescent and glitter colors. Konad's Special Nail polish comes in 10 ml bottles and retail for $6.50 each, as of the date of this publication.
Base Nail Polish
Base coat nail polish can be clear, or any other color polish, according to preference. The base coat nail polish is applied to the nails in one or two coats. The nail polish needs to dry completely before stamping on the Konad design. Base nail polish can be a complementary or contrasting color of the Konad nail stamp color. Mix and match for the best outcomes and combinations. Any type of base nail polish can be used on the nail; recommended polishes include Konad's regular and special polishes, China Glaze products and Sally Hansen Xtreme line of base nail colors.
Top Coat Nail Polish
Clear top coat nail polish can be used with the Konad nail stamping art. After the base coat and nail stamp are applied to the nail, the top coat helps set the polish and design stamp. Top coat nail polish should always be clear, so as not to mess up the design stamp or nail color. Top coat polish helps the nail polish stay longer on the nails and prevents chipping. Konad's Special top coat nail polish works best with Konad's nail stamp art designs.
Konad nail stamping kit recommends its Konad Special Nail polish be used with the stamp plate. Normal base coat polishes don't show up in designs, dry too quickly or run easily; keep this in mind when trying to find substitutes for the special polish. Practice a few times on one nail to get a hang of how to use Konad stamping kit, and save on the expensive cost of the special polish. Konad stamp art should not be applied directly onto the nail without a base coat.
