Most Sagittarius people have optimistic, high-energy personalities and are always finding new things and new people for interaction. They are not shy at all; a Sagittarius is always the life of the party and always wanting to explore new things. They tend to be very philosophical and are fascinated by cultural differences; always wanting to explore new and exciting adventures, often making them risk-takers. Many people call them free spirits as they never seem to want to conform or stay in one place. They have good-hearted personalities that may at times be overshadowed by their love for more extravagant things in life or their outwardly social tendencies.

The strong personality of a Sagittarius often leaves them with several things they generally dislike or even hate. They do not like confinement, monotony or restrictive areas. They also generally get bored easily because of their distaste and lack of interest in the ordinary. They do not like situations where they are told to "play it safe" and generally don't respect any individuals who live by this motto. Most notably, Sagittarius people dislike being disputed or being refused. They are the type of individuals that enjoy being right and getting their way, and encountering the opposite tends to make them very angry. Their general distaste toward being told "no" sometimes makes them seem difficult or spoiled.
