Provided that you have a free Minecraft forum account, or have already registered an account with the Curse network, you can post your own topics on the forums. Other forum members can then post replies to your topic to create a discussion or answer your questions. While the Minecraft forums are predominantly dedicated to topics that are related to the game, there is also an off-topic section to post about general topics.

Step 1

Navigate to the Minecraft forums and click the "Sign In" button at the top of the page.

Step 2

Enter the email address and password that you used to sign up for the Minecraft Forums -- or your Curse Network account -- and then click the "Login" button.

Step 3

Click the "Forums" tab and then select the forum where you want to post your topic. There are forums for discussing the game, mapping and modding, support and off-topic discussions, so make sure you pick the forum that best matches the topic that you want to post.

Step 4

Click the green "Start New Topic" button at the top of the page and then enter a topic title.

Step 5

Type tags describing your topic in the "Topic Tags" section. You can enter a maximum of 10 tags, separated by commas.

Step 6

Click the check boxes next to "Enable emoticons," "Enable signature" and "Follow this topic" in the "Post Options" section if you want to make use of these features for your topic.

Step 7

Enter a post for your topic in the space provided and then click the "Preview post" button.

Step 8

Check the post preview to ensure that your topic adheres to the Minecraft forum rules (link in Resources) and then click the green "Post New Topic" button.
