The Dell B130 PP21L -- better known as the Dell Inspiron B130 -- was a budget-oriented laptop PC from computer technology company Dell Inc. Released in 2006, the B130 is similar to the B120, but it has a 15.4-inch screen rather than one that measures 14 inches.

System Specs

  • Running on the Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition operating system, the Dell Inspiron B130 has an Intel Pentium M processor with a 1.7-gigahertz processing speed. Although the chip's data transmission speed is 533 megahertz, it runs at a slower 400MHz speed on the B130. A 256-megabyte memory module is installed on each of the laptop's two DIMM (dual inline memory module) slots for a combined system memory total of 512MB, although users can expand it to one gigabyte.

Storage and Multimedia Specs

  • Each Dell Inspiron B130 has a 60-GB hard disk drive, which spins at a speed of 5,400 revolutions per minute. The optical drive has a CD/DVD combo that plays CDs and DVDs at a 24x and 8x speed, respectively, and also records CDs. The 15.4-inch thin-film transistor display supports a Wide eXtended Graphics Array resolution, and the video and graphics come from a motherboard-integrated Intel Media Accelerator 900 graphics controller.

Connectivity Specs

  • Each Dell Inspiron B130 has a modem with a peak data transfer speed of 56 kilobits per second and compliance with the International Telecommunications Union's V.92 standard. Also included are a 100-megabit-per-second Ethernet driver and Dell 1470 Internal Wireless adapter with adherence to the 802.11a/b/g standards of the International Electrical and Electronics Engineers. In addition to the RJ-11 and RJ-45 jacks for the modem and Ethernet, the laptop's external interfaces are three Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0 ports, Video Graphics Array output for an external monitor, headphones and microphones jacks, and ExpressCard 34 slot.

Physical/Power Specs

  • Each Dell Inspiron B130 measures around 14 inches in width, 10.5 inches in depth and 1.4 inches in height. Its weight is listed at around 6 or 7 lbs. A 60-watt AC power adapter and four-cell lithium-ion battery provides the laptop's power.
