Easy Way to Clean a Cluttered Bedroom
The secret to a clean bedroom lies in developing good habits. Get in the habit of hanging up your clothes every night or placing them in the hamper. Put shoes on a shoe rack when you take them off. Develop an intolerance for clutter, and get rid of things that you don't need. Once you've become accustomed to a peaceful, serene room, the cleaning habit becomes second nature. Does this Spark an idea?

Laundry
-
Start by sorting any clothing laying around. Place dirty laundry in a hamper, and fold clean laundry or hang it in the closet. Get rid of any clothing you haven't worn in more than one year. Give it to a friend, or place it in a large trash bag to take to a donation center. Clothing is often the item that most clutters a room. Once you've taken care of it, cleaning the rest of the room usually goes quickly.
Clutter
-
Pick up any trash and clutter laying on the floor, dressers and nightstands. Throw trash away, and place items that belong in other rooms in a laundry basket for sorting later. Put items that you don't need or use in the trash bag of donated items.

Creating Order
-
Designate a location for everything in your bedroom. For example, place a bin or sock organizer in your drawer for keeping socks corralled. Place a hook in the closet for scarves and belts. Add baskets to a closet shelf to keep scarves and accessories tidy. Use shallow storage bins that slide under the bed for storing blankets or sweaters. Once you know where things should go, you are more likely to return them to the right place daily. If you have more stuff than you have room for, you need to purge. Any initial anxiety you may feel is replaced by the feeling of calm you'll enjoy with a clean, clutter-free room.
Quick Cleaning
-
Few have time to deep clean their homes every week, but even a quick clean goes a long way. Every day, allot 20, 20 or 30 minutes to do a "quick clean." Pick up clutter, run the vacuum, dust furniture or fold laundry. Stop when the time is up. Your family is more willing to help when they know the process won't take all day, and you'll enjoy a sense of accomplishment. Use efficient cleaning tools, such as microfiber cloths and multipurpose cleaning sprays, to make the most of the time you spend. A canister vacuum transitions easily to clean carpets, wood floors or tile and easily converts to a hose attachment for cleaning along baseboards or blinds.
