Fashion Help for Women to Match Their Personality
What you're wearing says more about your personality than you might think. Women's magazines and psychology websites produce many tests for women to figure out their fashion personality. It's important to dress in a way that reflects your sense of style and your sense of modesty. An uncomfortable looking woman is an unstylish one.

Picking a Personality Style
-
If you're simply not sure what your personality dictates with your wardrobe, pick up some fashion magazines and look at pictures of celebrities whose style you've always admired. Do you like the oversized look of the Olsen twins? Do you prefer the downtown cool of Kate Moss? Do you like the preppy style of Reese Witherspoon? Picking out what styles you like is an important first step to understanding your style personality. Ask yourself, of the women you admire, which type of dress would you feel the most comfortable in?
This is where considering your personality comes in to play. If you're modest and conservative, focus on Reese. If you're a bit of a bad girl who speaks her mind and goes her own way, Moss' look might suit. If you're a free spirit, nature girl, think of Kate Hudson's style.
Conservative Classic
-
If you think you're the type of woman who would rather wear her clothes than the other way around, you should stick to solid colors and natural, classic patterns such as tartan, polka dot and nautical stripes. Super trendy or revealing clothing is not for you. Keep your shapes classic and your clothing well-fitting, never tight. Straight-leg or boot-cut jeans in a dark color is a good start. A crisp, button-down shirt and well-fitted blazer will never steer you wrong. Pick a black sheath dress to anchor your wardrobe. Keep jewelry to a minimum; choose studs over dangling earrings and simple chains with delicate pendants.

Too Cool For School
-
If you admire a woman with a bit of edge to her style and the "bad girl" image, you'll need a few key pieces to build your wardrobe. Think slouchy, boyfriend tops and T-shirts in grays and blacks. A pair of light, dark and grey skinny jeans will be your staples. Buy a brown, worn-in belt, check the men's section of your favorite store to find a rugged-looking one and wear it with all of your jeans, regardless of their wash or color. Buy a pair of motorcycle or workman's boots and you're all set. Denim cut-off shorts and black tights for a night out give you a Brooklyn-cool look. Add a school-boy blazer with gold buttons to complete the ensemble.
Bohemian-Chic
-
Kate Hudson does the bohemian look to perfection; if this appeals to you, check out her red-carpet photos. Pick up a pair of wide-leg, boot-cut and/or flared jeans. Stay away from too-dramatic flares that are unflattering to anything but the longest, thinnest legs. Make sure you've got a pair of chunky-heeled shoes or wedges to hide under those wide bottoms. Slouchy silk shirts and skinny belts, as well as vintage T-shirts, will complement your ode to the '70s.
Wild Card
-
Real style doesn't come from emulating a genre of dress. Although, you need a jumping-off point. No matter what style you start to build your look around, keep something personal and unique that expresses yourself. If you can't part with the color pink, but love the tough-chic aesthetic, do something simple like wear a hot pink string around your wrist. Small, personal touches are what takes your wardrobe from "fashionable" to "chic."
