Spider Web
-
Decorate a cake with thin strips of licorice to create a spider web. Ice the cake using white icing. Cover the entire top of the cake with the web. Use a chocolate cookie for the spider's body and drops of white icing for the eyes. Cut strips of licorice for the legs. Attach the legs using small drops of icing. Position the spider on the cake -- in the middle of the web or on the side waiting for its prey.
Tombstones
-
Bake a rectangular cake. Round out one end of the cake so it resembles a tombstone. Dye white icing gray by using a few drops of black food coloring. Cover the entire cake with the gray icing. Instead of piping the words onto the tombstone, spell them out using chocolate candy pieces such as M&M's or Reese's Pieces.

Pumpkin
-
Don't make a mess carving a pumpkin. Instead, ice a pumpkin cake with orange icing. Choose your favorites from pieces like candy corn, chopped candy bars and jelly beans to decorate the pumpkin's face. Make smaller cakes for kids to decorate with their leftover candy.
Vampires
-
Bake a round cake, about 9 inches in diameter. Decorate it to look like a vampire. Pipe on black icing for the hair and gum drops for the eyes. Use candy corn for the fangs; add white icing to the candy corn pieces to help them look more like fangs. Use a small amount of red icing to cover the tips of the fangs for a spooky effect.
